Pune: An altercation turned violent late last night in front of Sana Hospital near Kauser Bagh, Kondhwa, resulting in two men sustaining injuries. The incident took place around 11:30 PM when Ganesh Subhash Rakh Pasre, 32, a resident of Ashraf Nagar, Kondhwa, parked his car on a public road. A heated argument broke out between Pasre and Aafaque Ashfaq Sheikh, 30, a businessman from Mitha Nagar, Kondhwa.
The dispute quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, with both men reportedly using sharp weapons to assault each other. Both individuals were injured in the incident and rushed to Sassoon Hospital for treatment. Thankfully, their conditions are stable, and the police have recorded their statements.
Two separate cases have been registered in connection with the altercation. FIR No. 238/2025 has been filed against Ganesh Subhash Rakh Pasre, who faces charges under sections 109, 115(2), 352, and 3(5) of BNS, along with sections 4, 25 of the Arms Act, section 37(1), 135 of MCOCA, and sections 3, 7 of the Criminal Amendment Act. Similarly, FIR No. 239/2025 has been filed against Aafaque Ashfaq Sheikh, who faces the same charges.
After their treatment, both men will be taken into police custody. Authorities have confirmed that there are no law and order issues in the area, and the situation remains peaceful. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
