Sillod: Former minister Abdul Sattar sent a strong message to his political opponents, Raosaheb Danve and Sanjay Shirsath, asserting, “Some people claim they come to Sillod. Let me tell you, I am the one who comes to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. If there’s any hooliganism here, I will decide how to stop it. Mark my words, I will return!”
Speaking at his 61st birthday celebration in Sillod, Sattar expressed gratitude for the overwhelming turnout, stating, “I never imagined my birthday would be celebrated with such enthusiasm, especially now that I am not a minister. Thousands have gathered not only from Sambhajinagar but also from Vaijapur, Soygaon, Kannad, Paithan, and other parts of Marathwada. This is my true strength. When in power, people come to you, but when out of power, such support is a testament to the trust I’ve earned.”
Taking a dig at his opponents, he said, “Some people engage in politics in the name of parties or castes, but I stand for friendship. I hit a four in the Sillod assembly constituency, yet some try to tarnish our village’s reputation.”
Addressing speculations about his dissatisfaction over losing his ministerial post, Sattar clarified, “Many are wondering about my next step. Let me make it clear: as long as Eknath Shinde has faith in me, I will remain with him. The day he loses trust in me, I will uphold the trust of my supporters. Both Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar have confidence in me. In politics, positions come and go, but my loyalty remains steadfast.”
