Beed: Maharashtra Cyber Police have arrested a 25-year-old man named Amol Kale for allegedly sending obscene messages and making harassing calls to BJP leader and minister Pankaja Munde. The arrest was made following a complaint filed by Nikhil Bhamre.

Nikhil Bhamre, who works as a social media coordinator at the BJP Maharashtra office in Nariman Point, Mumbai, lodged the complaint leading to police action.
An FIR was registered under Sections 78 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act. Police traced the mobile number used to make the calls and located the accused in Pune.
With assistance from Bhosari Police Station officers, the cyber police detained Amol Kale and brought him to Mumbai after he confessed during interrogation that he had indeed contacted Minister Munde. He was formally arrested after being served a notice under the BNS provisions.
