Pune: Citizens of Parge Nagar united in a unique and peaceful demonstration on Sunday, demanding immediate repairs to a long-neglected road in their locality. Inspired by Gandhian principles, the protest took on an artistic flair with colourful rangoli designs and floral decorations, symbolising unity and civic responsibility.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents of all ages, effectively conveying the urgency of their demands to the civic authorities. Former MLA Mahadev Babar lent his support to the cause, reinforcing the community’s efforts and encouraging further action from officials.
Sandeep Dipke, a Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officer, visited the protest site and engaged in discussions with the residents. After hearing their concerns, he assured that the roadwork would be completed by the upcoming Sunday. His assurance brought a sense of relief and optimism to locals who have long struggled with deteriorating infrastructure.
