Pimpri Chinchwad: A steel framework erected for a metro pillar near Chinchwad Station collapsed suddenly around 11 PM, creating panic in the area. The structure fell onto the grade separator, causing a loud noise and disruption in traffic.
Eyewitnesses reported that the steel rods struck vehicles passing below at the time of the collapse. Preliminary reports suggest that three to four four-wheelers sustained damage in the incident.
Some of the affected vehicle owners have approached the Pimpri Police to lodge official complaints. Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the collapse and assess accountability.
