Pune: A police constable posted at Kondhwa Police Station has been booked and suspended after he allegedly extorted ₹28,000 from a youth visiting Bopdev Ghat. The accused, identified as Vikram Laxman Vadtile, is facing charges of extortion following a complaint lodged by the victim.
The incident took place when a young man from Chennai had gone to Bopdev Ghat with a friend. Constable Vadtile intercepted them and reportedly found a hookah pot in their possession.
