Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expresses grief over the accident caused by the collapse of the bridge over the Indrayani River

Mumbai: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed deep sorrow over the news of a tragic accident near Talegaon in Pune district, where a bridge over the Indrayani River at Indori collapsed. According to preliminary information, 2 people have lost their lives in this incident. “I pay my heartfelt tribute to them. We share the grief of their families,” the Chief Minister said.

In his condolence message, CM Fadnavis further stated that he is in constant contact with the Divisional Commissioner, District Collector, Superintendent of Police, and the concerned Tehsildar regarding the incident. Some individuals were swept away in the river, and a search operation is being conducted on a war footing. The Divisional Commissioner has left for the incident site. The NDRF has been deployed at the location. Relief operations have been accelerated immediately.

So far, 6 people have been rescued. All relevant agencies have been placed on high alert. A total of 32 people have been reported injured, of whom 6 are in serious condition and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
