Pimpri Chinchwad: The Tax Assessment and Collection Department of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced that property owners have just 10 days left to benefit from discounts on their tax payments. Citizens who clear their dues online before June 30, 2025, can receive a 10% rebate. Properties registered in a woman’s name qualify for up to 30% off, making it even more advantageous for women property owners.
Through its ongoing ‘Siddhi Initiative,’ PCMC has engaged women’s self-help groups to distribute property tax bills to over 6.35 lakh property holders across the city. Notices of seizure have also been issued to persistent defaulters, warning them that property confiscation proceedings will follow if they fail to pay their taxes. From April 1 to June 19, the civic body successfully collected ₹359.85 crore in property tax.
Additionally, dishonoured cheques have resulted in ₹10.15 crore remaining unpaid this fiscal year. PCMC has specified that those facing bounced cheque issues must now pay their taxes either online or in cash.PCMC Urges Taxpayers to Avail Rebates Before June 30 Deadline
Available Rebates Until June 30, 2025:
50% rebate for freedom fighters or their spouses on one residential property.
30% rebate for women owners on one property.
50% rebate for individuals with 40% or more disability on one property.
5% rebate for full advance tax payments.
Special Rebates for Private Educational Institutions:
69% rebate for properties registered under the “Majhi Milkat Majhi Aakarani” scheme.
5% rebate for newly assessed properties.
2% rebate for regular tax payers for three consecutive years.
5% rebate for lump-sum online tax payments between April and June.
100% rebate for properties owned by families of martyred soldiers and ex-servicemen.
2% rebate for properties housing electric vehicle charging stations.
Pradeep Jambhale Patil, PCMC Additional Commissioner, stated, “Prompt tax payments enable the civic administration to enhance public services like sanitation, health, and education. We encourage everyone to clear their dues before June 30 and help drive the city’s development.”
