The e Vitara is the first of four battery electric vehicles that Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce in India before 2030. Production of this model has already begun at the company’s Gujarat facility. The first batch of 6,000 units has been exported to Europe and the UK, highlighting the brand’s global EV ambitions.
The electric SUV will be sold in India with 10 colour options and three variants. These choices will give buyers a wide range of personalization options. Maruti Suzuki is positioning the e Vitara as a practical family SUV with modern tech and strong efficiency.
The model will be offered with two battery pack choices: a 48.8kWh unit and a 61.1kWh unit. Both will power a single front-mounted electric motor. A range of up to 500km is claimed on a full charge. Charging from 0 to 80 percent can be completed in around 50 minutes with a DC fast charger. This makes it suitable for long trips and daily urban use.
The 2025 Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will feature Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, LED projector headlamps, drive modes, and Suzuki Connect. It will also offer TPMS, seven airbags, and an electrically adjustable driver seat with 10-way controls. These features aim to enhance safety, comfort, and convenience.
The e Vitara is expected to draw strong interest when bookings open, as India’s demand for electric SUVs continues to grow. With competitive specifications and Maruti’s wide service network, the model could play a major role in accelerating EV adoption.
