Pune:To provide a more reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has commissioned two new 22 kV power lines for the Kondhwa and Pisoli areas. This initiative is set to benefit around 41,900 residential, commercial, and industrial consumers by easing the growing demand and enhancing service quality in the region.

The newly commissioned Industrial Power Line is designed to reduce the load on the existing 22 kV network and the Shobha Substation, ensuring improved power reliability for approximately 18,900 consumers. Areas such as Punyadham Ashram Road, Tiny Industrial Area, and Pisoli Road, previously affected by voltage fluctuations, will now enjoy a more stable power supply, leading to increased operational efficiency and reduced downtime.

Additionally, the Brahma 22 kV Power Line has been developed to bolster the power supply at the Brahma Switching Station, which serves the Kondhwa region. This upgrade guarantees that around 23,000 consumers, covering areas like Kondhwa, Bhagyodaya Nagar, Shivneri, Kuba Masjid Area, and Waghjai, receive enhanced power quality with fewer interruptions. An important advantage of this new line is that it acts as a backup power source for the Brahma Switching Station, thereby maintaining grid stability and reducing blackout risks during peak demand or maintenance periods.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including Superintending Engineer Arvind Bulbule, Executive Engineer Chandrakant Dighe, Additional Executive Engineer Rajendra Bhujbal, and Assistant Engineer Shrikant Avchar.

Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar emphasized that these developments are critical in addressing power distribution challenges in Pune’s rapidly growing urban landscape, promising long-term sustainability and improved service quality.

Arvind Bulbule also stressed the ongoing commitment of MSEDCL to upgrade infrastructure and ensure optimal power delivery for both residential and industrial consumers.
