Pune: In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was reportedly targeted in a fraudulent scheme where the accused impersonated Member of Parliament Udayanraje Bhosale. The man behind the scam, identified as Ali Amanat Shaikh from Pune, allegedly mimicked Bhosale’s voice and contacted Aamir Khan, claiming to be the MP himself. The accused would then request the actor to meet certain individuals and assist them, under the pretense that they were associated with Bhosale.
The matter came to light recently, prompting Shahupuri Police to register a formal complaint against the accused. According to the police, the fraudulent activities had been taking place since January.
Sources reveal that Aamir Khan’s team eventually grew suspicious and reached out to Pankaj Chavan, a close associate of MP Udayanraje Bhosale. Upon calling the accused directly, Chavan too was misled, as the accused continued to pretend to be Bhosale. This led to confirmation of the fraud and the filing of a case at the Shahupuri Police Station.
The accused allegedly contacted Aamir Khan multiple times, stating, “Some of my people will come to meet you, please help them.” Believing it to be the voice of the real MP, Khan initially cooperated, but the scam unraveled after verification. The incident has caused a stir, and further investigation is currently underway.
