Devendra Fadnavis Orders Strict “Mocca-Like” Action Against Those Harassing Industries

Pune: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has issued strict orders to take decisive action against anyone harassing industries in the state. Speaking at the inauguration of the new administrative building for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, the Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Office, and various development projects of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in Chikhali, Fadnavis emphasized that no one, regardless of their political affiliation, will be spared if they trouble industries. Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar was also present at the event.Zero Tolerance for Harassment.

Fadnavis stated, “Whether the culprits belong to our party, Ajitdada’s (Ajit Pawar), Shinde Saheb’s (Eknath Shinde), or any other political group, strict action akin to ‘Mocca’ will be taken against those troubling industries. There will be no leniency or compromise in such matters.” He further directed the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner and Pune Rural Superintendent to act decisively against such individuals.

Addressing Industry Complaints**
The Chief Minister highlighted that industries in the Pune region have been facing issues such as harassment, blackmail, and extortion. He said, *”We have been receiving complaints from industries about being troubled, blackmailed, and extorted. This will not be tolerated anymore. I am giving full authority to the police to take strict action against such elements.”*

Fadnavis emphasized Pune’s importance as the production and technological capital of Maharashtra.”* He noted that the state is attracting significant investments, and it is the government’s responsibility to ensure a conducive environment for industries to thrive. “We are in discussions with global stakeholders, and large-scale investments are coming to Maharashtra. It is our duty to maintain a supportive atmosphere for industries,” he added.

The Chief Minister reiterated that industries should not face any harassment in Maharashtra. He expressed confidence in the police’s ability to handle such situations effectively and ensure the safety and growth of industries in the state.
