Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has officially termed the recent Tejas aircraft crash during the Dubai Air Show as an “isolated occurrence,” assuring that the indigenous fighter jet remains fully reliable and combat-ready.
According to HAL officials, preliminary assessments indicate that the incident was not linked to any systemic technical flaw in the aircraft platform. Engineers and flight safety teams are conducting a detailed investigation in coordination with Indian Air Force representatives and Dubai aviation authorities.
The defence PSU emphasized that Tejas has an impressive operational track record, with thousands of successful flying hours and participation in multiple international exercises. The aircraft has been widely regarded as a symbol of India’s growing aerospace capability, especially following its performance in global showcases.
HAL reiterated that production, export discussions, and ongoing upgrades under the Tejas Mk-1A program will continue as planned.
The statement aims to maintain confidence among international observers and potential buyers, as Tejas remains one of India’s most promising defence export prospects.
