Flight Disruptions at Pune Airport on May 8 Due to Operation Sindoor Aftermath

Pune: Pune Airport has released an official advisory to passengers and airline partners following a series of flight cancellations on May 8, 2025, as a result of operational challenges stemming from the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. The cancellations, which occurred between midnight and 8:00 PM, were primarily due to temporary suspensions at certain destination airports.

A total of 13 domestic flights operated by IndiGo and SpiceJet were cancelled, impacting connectivity on several key routes. Below are the details of the affected flights:

IndiGo Airlines – Cancelled Flights:

Amritsar to Pune – 6E 6129

Pune to Cochin – 6E 6129

Chandigarh to Pune – 6E 681

Pune to Hyderabad – 6E 336

Rajkot (Hirasar) to Pune – 6E 957

Pune to Jodhpur – 6E 133

Pune to Chandigarh – 6E 242

Pune to Amritsar – 6E 721

Pune to Rajkot (Hirasar) – 6E 956

Pune to Surat – 6E 6191

Jodhpur to Pune – 6E 414

SpiceJet – Cancelled Flights:

Pune to Bhavnagar – SG 1077

Pune to Jaipur – SG 1080

Passengers were notified of these cancellations through airline communications, airport announcements, and digital notifications. Pune Airport, in collaboration with the airlines, provided necessary support in accordance with DGCA regulations. This included offering full refunds, alternative travel options, and assistance from on-ground staff.

The airport authorities reaffirmed their commitment to passenger safety and comfort and advised travellers to stay in touch with their respective airlines for the latest updates and travel support.
