Pune: Get ready, India! A momentous occasion is unfolding in Pune this Army Day, January 15, 2025. For the very first time, the city will host the prestigious Army Day Parade, marking the beginning of a new chapter in honoring India’s military legacy.
Since its inception in 1949, the Army Day Parade has been a grand event in Delhi, showcasing the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of our soldiers. But this year, Pune takes center stage, bringing the spirit of the armed forces closer to the people and allowing them to witness the strength and valor of our military up close.
Prepare to be amazed as the parade features cutting-edge military technology, including tanks, battlefield vehicles, drones, helicopters, and fighter jets. One of the highlights will be the revolutionary ARCV-MULE, an autonomous Quadrupedal Unmanned Ground Vehicle capable of securing perimeters and performing vital intelligence and surveillance tasks, marking a leap forward in defense technology.
However, this event is not just about military hardware; it’s a celebration of India’s rich military heritage. The parade will see participation from the Nepalese Army Band along with Indian Army bands. Spectacular march-pasts by various Army contingents, including a Women’s Contingent, will demonstrate battle readiness, while floats will showcase India’s cultural diversity and military strength.
Preparations for this historic event have been underway since late 2024, with rehearsals on January 5th, 7th, and 9th, culminating in the grand dress rehearsal on January 11th. Now, January 15th promises to be a day to remember. Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, along with Southern Army Commander Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, will lead the charge in honoring the unwavering courage and dedication of our soldiers.
More than just a parade, this event symbolizes the unity, courage, and the enduring bond between India’s military and its citizens. Pune is filled with pride as it plays host to this historic celebration, making Army Day 2025 a milestone in the nation’s journey of patriotism and pride.
