Pune : Pune has recently experienced a series of machete attacks, raising significant concerns about public safety. Two separate incidents, both within the jurisdiction of Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station, have intensified fears among residents.

Bibwewadi Assault

In the Bibwewadi area, a violent machete attack resulted in two individuals sustaining injuries. In one particularly severe case, a young man’s hand was severed below the wrist, leading to the loss of his palm. This incident has heightened concerns about the audacity of attackers and the safety of the community.

Hanuman Tekdi Robbery
Another alarming event occurred near Hanuman Tekdi, a popular spot for walkers and joggers. A 17-year-old girl was threatened with a machete and robbed of her belongings, leaving her traumatized. This attack has prompted calls for increased safety measures in the area.
These incidents have sparked widespread public outrage, with citizens demanding enhanced police patrolling and surveillance in vulnerable areas. The community is calling for immediate action to prevent such attacks and ensure the safety of residents.

The Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station is actively investigating these incidents and has assured the public of stringent measures to apprehend the culprits. Authorities are working diligently to address the growing concern over machete-related crimes in the city.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police to assist in maintaining community safety.
