The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts continued heavy rainfall in the ghat sections, even as Pune city and its surrounding plains are expected to experience lighter showers. This rainfall aligns with IMD’s earlier forecast of increased monsoon activity across the western highlands of Pune district.
