In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday transferred 13 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various key departments.
Key Appointments and Transfers
Pravin Darade has been appointed as the principal secretary in the Cooperation, Marketing, and Textile Department.
Pankaj Kumar, a 2002-batch IAS officer, has been posted as secretary and special enquiry officer (2) in the General Administration Department.
Nitin Patil, previously secretary in the State Human Rights Commission, is now the commissioner for Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship. He has been replaced by P.K. Dange.
Shweta Singhal, who served as secretary to the governor, has been appointed as Amravati divisional commissioner. She is succeeded by Prashant Narnaware.
Anil Bhandari, joint CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Mumbai, has taken over as director of Information Technology.
S. Ramamoorthy, formerly secretary of the Fee Regulatory Authority, has been appointed deputy secretary to the governor.
Abhijit Raut, Nanded collector, is now the joint commissioner of State Tax. Rahul Kardile, joint managing director at City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), will take over as the new Nanded collector.
Madhavi Sardeshmukh, CEO of Smart City, Kalyan-Dombivli, has been appointed as director of Vocational Education and Training.
Amit Ranjan, assistant collector of Charmoshi Sub-Division, Gadchiroli, has been posted as project officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP) at Pandharkawada, and assistant collector of Kelapur Sub-Division, Yavatmal.
The reshuffle is aimed at optimizing the state’s administrative efficiency and assigning critical responsibilities to experienced officers across departments.
