Pune: The Shirgaon police raided an illegal liquor distillery operating on the banks of the Pavana River. During the operation, authorities registered a case against two women involved in the illicit production and sale of alcohol.
Officers confiscated raw chemicals and other materials used in the manufacturing of hooch, with the total seizure valued at ₹1.76 lakh. The raid was part of an ongoing crackdown on unauthorized liquor operations in the region.
Upon spotting the police, the female suspects managed to escape from the location. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating further to apprehend the accused and dismantle similar illegal setups in the area.
