Pune: In a major operation against drug trafficking, Pune Police have confiscated 60 kg of cannabis valued at approximately ₹12 lakh. The Anti-Narcotics Squad carried out a raid in the city’s central area, leading to the arrest of Nadeem Moiz Shaikh, a Karnataka-based suspect.
According to officials, the accused had been actively involved in the sale of cannabis in Pune for the past few days. Investigations revealed that he was transporting large quantities of the narcotic from Karnataka and distributing it within the city.
As part of a broader crackdown on illegal drug trade, Pune Police have intensified their efforts to prevent the circulation of narcotics. Authorities have confirmed that this latest seizure is a crucial step in dismantling drug networks in the region. Further inquiries are ongoing to identify other individuals connected to the supply chain.
