Pune : In preparation for the upcoming Army Day parade, temporary traffic restrictions have been implemented across key areas in Pune, including Yerwada, Vishrantwadi, and Khadki. These diversions will remain in effect daily from 7 AM to 11 AM, starting Saturday, January 11, until Wednesday, January 15.
Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, Amol Zende, has urged commuters to plan their routes in advance and utilize designated alternatives to avoid inconvenience.
Key Traffic Diversions:
1. Shadalbaba Chowk to Kharadi (via Chandrama Chowk)
This route is closed. Commuters are advised to take Ambedkar Chowk, Alandi Junction, and Sapras Old Holkar Bridge as alternate routes.
2. Vishrantwadi to Khadki (via Holkar Bridge)
The route is inaccessible. Alternatives include:
Vishrantwadi → Sapras Old Holkar Bridge
Shadalbaba → Sangamwadi → Patil Estate
3. Bopodi Chowk to Khadki Bazaar, Church Chowk, General Cariappa Road
Diversions in place towards Metalik Church, Holkar Bridge, Yerwada, and Vishrantwadi. Drivers can instead use Wakdewadi → Patil Estate.
4. Aathmula Road (via Poultry Farm Chowk Poultry Underpass)
Access is restricted. Use Wakdewadi → Patil Estate-Sangamwadi → Shadalbaba Road as alternatives.
Motorists are requested to adhere to these changes to ensure smooth traffic movement during the parade preparations.
