Pune: A devastating accident occurred yesterday afternoon around 3:45 PM at the Vadjai Nagar Corner on the Hinjewadi-Man Road. A dump truck carrying ready-mix concrete lost control while turning, causing it to overturn and crash onto an oncoming two-wheeler. Tragically, two young women riding the bike were killed instantly in the incident.
The victims, aged between 20 and 25 years, were employed as engineers in the IT sector. Upon receiving the information, the Hinjewadi police rushed to the spot and removed the overturned truck with the help of a crane. The truck driver has been detained, and further investigations are underway.
