Pune: A waiter was assaulted at a hotel in Keshavnagar after refusing to provide drinking water to a customer, leading to a shocking altercation. The incident took place at the Opal Hotel and Lodge, where Shubham Ravindra Biyani (29), a resident of Badhevasti, Keshavnagar, works. He filed a complaint at the Keshavnagar police station, prompting a case against the alleged assailant, Sagar Kodre, a resident of Badhevasti, Kodrevasti.
According to the police report, the incident occurred around 11 PM when Sagar Kodre requested drinking water from Biyani. After Biyani refused for what has been described as a trivial reason, Kodre became enraged and attacked him with a wooden stick. The assault left the waiter injured, and Biyani immediately reported the incident to the authorities.
The Keshavnagar police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter further to take appropriate action against the accused.
