Water Supply to Be Suspended Across Several Pune Areas on April 17
Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a full-day water supply shutdown on Thursday, April 17, 2025, due to urgent structural maintenance at the Rajmata Underground Tunnel and ongoing efforts to reduce water leakage.
As per the Water Supply Department, water supply will remain completely suspended in several areas, including Nilgiri Chowk, Chintamani Dnyanpeeth to Trimurti Chowk, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Bharati Vihar, Chandrabhaga Nagar, Sawant Vihar, Sawant Garden, Wonder City, Kadam Plaza, Gyansi Garden, Manik Moti, Narayani Dham area, Dattanagar, Santosh Nagar, Ambegaon Budruk, Ambegaon Khurd, Jambhulwadi Road, and surrounding localities.
PMC has further informed that water supply may be delayed and available at low pressure on Friday, April 18, as the system stabilizes after the repair work.
Citizens residing in the affected areas are advised to store adequate water in advance and use it wisely. The civic body has requested public cooperation and assured that all efforts are being made to restore normal supply at the earliest.
This essential maintenance, PMC emphasized, is necessary to prevent long-term water loss and strengthen the city’s supply network.
