Pune: A youth was assaulted with a cricket bat and threatened with death following an argument on the cricket field in Mundhwa. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday (April 1) at around 12:15 AM.
In this case, Akashkumar Bhandatt Sharma (20, resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa) has filed a complaint at Mundhwa Police Station. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered against Ganesh Harbhare (22), Siddhant Chavan (20), Jay Kasar (22), and Ashish Shelke (22).
According to the police, the complainant, Akashkumar, had a dispute with the accused while playing cricket. Holding a grudge over the argument, the accused conspired together and attacked him with their hands, kicks, and a wooden bat, injuring him. They also verbally abused and threatened to kill him.
Police Sub-Inspector Mahadev Linge is investigating the case.
