Pune: The city continues to experience a spate of house break-ins. On Wednesday, February 19, four theft cases were reported across various police stations in Pune, including Baner, Vishrantwadi, Kondhwa, and Kalepadal. The stolen items in these cases included gold and silver jewelry, cash, mobile phones, and cameras, valued at over ₹7.5 lakh.

In the Hadapsar area, a burglary occurred at a photo studio in Hingne Mala. The thieves stole a camera and other equipment from the studio. Rohit Dattatray Todkar (37), a resident of Hingne Mala, filed a complaint at Kalepadal Police Station. According to Todkar’s complaint, two unidentified thieves arrived on a motorcycle and broke into the photo studio by forcing open the door. They took a camera and its accessories, as well as a mobile phone, worth ₹3.77 lakh. Assistant Police Inspector Vilas Sutar is investigating the case.

In another incident, a house in Prathmanagari Society, Shivshakti Chowk, Pashan, was burgled. This incident occurred on the evening of February 8. Akshay Jayant Joshi (36), a resident of Baner, lodged a complaint at Baner Police Station. According to Joshi’s complaint, he was away from home on the evening of February 8. When he returned, he found that the lock and latch of the house had been broken, and gold and silver items worth ₹94,000 were missing. Police Sub-Inspector Rupesh Chaalke is investigating the case.

In Vishrantwadi, an unidentified thief broke into a house by breaking the lock and stole gold and silver jewelry. Ravi Somprakash Galfade (37), a resident of Alandi, filed a complaint with Vishrantwadi Police Station. According to Galfade’s complaint, the incident took place on the night of February 18, around 10:30 pm. The thief broke the lock and entered the house, where he stole gold and silver jewelry worth ₹2.88 lakh from an iron cupboard. Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Rathod is investigating the case.

In the Kondhwa area, a medical store was robbed after the shutter was broken. Yogesh Tukaram Sontakke (28), a resident of Kondhwa, filed a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station. According to Sontakke’s complaint, his medical store, located at Bhagwa Chowk in Kondhwa Budruk, was broken into by an unidentified thief around 3:30 pm on Wednesday, February 19. The thief stole ₹24,500 in cash from the store. Police Sub-Inspector Snehal Jadhav is investigating the case.
