Pune: In light of Buddha Purnima celebrations on Monday, May 12, the Pune Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic diversions near the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar statue at Pune Station. The changes aim to ensure smooth movement and safety for the large number of devotees expected to gather in the area to pay homage to Dr. Ambedkar.
To manage the anticipated crowd and avoid congestion, authorities have restricted vehicular access on the stretch from the District Collector’s Office to Sadhu Vaswani Chowk. Commuters are advised to avoid this route and instead use alternate paths through Bolhai Chowk, Pune Station, and Alankar Chowk to reach their destinations.
The traffic department has appealed to motorists to cooperate with the arrangements to ensure a hassle-free experience for both the visitors and the general public.
