Pune: A case has been registered against a person for illegally stocking country liquor without a permit. The raid took place around noon on Saturday in the Ganeshnagar area of Moshi.
The accused, Anil Apparao Bhumbe (39, resident of Shivajiwadi, Moshi), has been booked in this matter. Police Constable Chandrakant Gorakh Jadhav of the Anti-Extortion Squad lodged a complaint at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station on Saturday.
According to police, 46 bottles of Power Lime Punch country liquor, worth ₹3,220, were seized from the accused. Bhumbe had stocked the liquor in an open space near Mai Hotel for sale. MIDC Bhosari police are conducting further investigation into the case.
