Pune: Central Railway’s Pune Division has announced a temporary shutdown of Level Crossing Gate No. 4, situated at kilometer 5/1–2 between Pune and Sasvad stations, to carry out essential maintenance work. The gate will be closed continuously from 9:00 AM on June 9, 2025, until 6:00 PM on June 12, 2025.
This closure is required to facilitate critical repairs including the overhauling of the gate on both the UP and DOWN tracks, tamping of railway tracks using specialized machinery, and resurfacing of the crossing area. These improvements aim to enhance safety and ensure more efficient train operations along this route.
Motorists and local residents are advised to take note of the closure and adjust their travel plans accordingly. The Pune Division of Central Railway seeks the understanding and cooperation of the public during this maintenance period.
