Pune: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, inaugurated the Elysian International Executive Lounge on Thursday, located within the International Security Hold Area of Pune Airport’s New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB). The launch marks a significant milestone in enhancing the travel experience for international passengers using the airport.
According to a statement from Pune Airport, the lounge offers a sophisticated fusion of style and functionality. Designed with modern aesthetics, the space includes luxurious seating arrangements, a thoughtfully crafted gourmet menu, and premium services curated for global travellers. The tranquil setting and cutting-edge interiors provide a welcoming space for rest or work before departure.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) emphasised that this addition is part of a broader vision to position Pune Airport among the leading aviation hubs in the country. The new lounge complements the high-end infrastructure of the NITB, aligning with its aim to deliver a seamless and elevated travel experience.
Operational since July 2024, the NITB is equipped with 10 aerobridges, 34 check-in counters, and environmentally conscious features that have earned it the prestigious Four-Star GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) certification. The inclusion of the Elysian Lounge is seen as another stride toward meeting the growing expectations of international flyers.
