Pune: Metro services will experience partial suspension on March 14, 2025, due to the Holi (Dhuliwandan) festivities. In an official announcement, authorities stated that metro operations will be halted from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the day of the festival.
Services will resume later in the day, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, ensuring that evening and night commuters can travel as usual. The metro administration has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension.
Holi, a popular festival of colors, is celebrated with large gatherings and festivities across the city. The decision to pause metro services during the morning hours aims to safeguard passengers and prevent potential damage to metro infrastructure during the celebrations.
The authorities have requested the cooperation of citizens and advised commuters to make alternative travel plans during the morning hours.
This is not the first time that the metro services have been adjusted for Holi. Similar measures were implemented last year to ensure safety and avoid disruptions due to the festivities and large crowds near public transport systems.
Pune Metro has assured passengers that all services will be fully operational after 3:00 PM, providing ease of travel later in the day.
