Pune: A fatal accident occurred late Tuesday night in the Jambhulwadi area of Ambegaon when a motorcycle, traveling at high speed, crashed into an electric pole, resulting in the deaths of both the rider and the passenger.
According to the police, the incident took place around midnight when the rider lost control of the motorcycle while speeding on Jambhulewadi Road, near Gatha Swimming Pool. The motorcycle veered off the road and collided with a metal electric pole. Both individuals on the motorcycle suffered severe head injuries.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and quickly transported the victims to a nearby hospital. However, despite efforts, both were declared dead due to the critical nature of their injuries. Authorities have stated that excessive speed was the likely cause of the tragic crash.
